For over 2 decades, I have explored the landscapes of the American West. In vibrant oil pastels, I strive to convey an appreciation of the simple and capture the essence of place and structure -- whether the grace of an old adobe building melting into the earth, a grand barn standing guard over her fields, or a winding road traversing rugged hills. My work is inspired by living in the mountains of northern New Mexico and traveling the back roads of the American countryside. Working from photographs, sketches, and etched memories, I aspire to create bold, colorful art that evokes both connection to the land and a sense of timelessness.
